Digital Cultural Heritage

This project area examines how digital media can support the documentation, interpretation, and transmission of cultural heritage, especially intangible cultural heritage. It is concerned with how stories, practices, craft knowledge, spatial memory, and community meanings can be represented through interactive systems without reducing heritage to a static archive.

The work connects digital preservation with experience design, exploring formats such as digital museums, spatial computing, augmented reality, multimedia storytelling, and public-facing interactive installations. A central aim is to create heritage experiences that are engaging for visitors while remaining sensitive to cultural context, authorship, community participation, and long-term sustainability.
