XR Accessibility

This project area investigates how extended reality systems can be designed for people with different abilities, sensory preferences, mobility needs, and everyday contexts. It focuses on interaction patterns that reduce barriers in immersive environments, such as clearer feedback, adaptable input, spatial guidance, and interface layouts that remain usable across devices and situations.

The work connects accessibility research with human-centred design methods, asking how XR experiences can be evaluated not only for technical performance, but also for comfort, comprehension, agency, and meaningful participation. It provides a foundation for designing immersive systems that are more inclusive from the beginning rather than adapted only after deployment.
